Parliament Produced 216 Laws from 1992-2008 

The legislative production of the National Assembly between 1992 and 2008 was fixed at 215 laws and 502 resolutions, refers the report of activities of the parliament that was presented at the closing ceremony of the 1st Legislative Term.
Reading the document, the

parliament speaker, Roberto de Almeida stated that these numbers reflect an average production of 13 laws and 31 resolutions per year.
To the parliamentarian, normative dispositions are not measured in terms of quantity, but due its context, profundity and applicability, derived from a good and opportune publishing of regulations.
"Despite such production, the National Assembly still faces some shortages of competent advising body and staff in subjects of speciality for assistance to permanent commissions, a true driving force of the legislative work", he observed.
Roberto de Almeida said he augurs for a successful mandate, for future MPs, in order to increase of the quality of the Angolan parliament.
For the purpose, he added, they should be focussed on the improvement of working conditions, will and permanent upgrading of MPs and parliamentary staff, at all levels. Source: ANGOP
