Berlin – Angolan head of State, José Eduardo
dos Santos, ended Saturday morning his 48-hour official
visit to Germany, at the invitation of his local counterpart,
Horst Kohler.
José Eduardo dos Santos has left for the Spain Kingdom
for a few days private trip.
While in Germany, president Eduardo dos Santos met separately
with Horst Kohler and with the local chancellor,

The Angolan head of State was in the trip accompanied by the first
lady Ana Paula dos Santos and a delegation that included the ministers
of Foreign Affairs, Economy, Finance, Public Works and others.
The president’s visit to Germany was intended to strengthen
existing bilateral relations in the various fields.
Cooperation between the two countries would be particularly welcome
in specific areas like the mining and energetic sectors, agricultural
mechanisation, equipment maintenance, institutional reinforcement,
engineering services, training of personnel, scientific research
and others, said the Angolan president, after an audience he had
with his local counterpart .
During the stay of the president in Germany, a memorandum of understanding
was signed with a view to a strategic partnership, expansion and
deepening of economic cooperation between the two peoples.
