Berlin: German chancellor encourages Angola’s democratic process  

Berlin – The German chancellor, Ângela Merkel, Friday in Berlin, expressed the wish that the democratic process in the country continues, following the “successful” legislative election of last year.

The chancellor was speaking to the press at the end of a meeting with the Angolan head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos, who is visiting Germany since Thursday.

“There will be the approval of a new constitution this year, followed by

presidential election,” recalled the official, wishing Angola success and better living for its people.

She admitted that there are several opportunities for the strengthening of cooperation, mentioning the sector of education as a key element for the diversification of the economy, pledging all his country’s possible assistance.
