São Tomé: Angola and São Tomé strengthen bilateral co-operation  

Luanda - The governments of Angola and São Tomé e Príncipe last Friday in Luanda agreed to continue the work of reinforcing the bilateral co-operation, reads a press note received by ANGOP.

This stand was reached at the work meeting held between the prime ministers of Angola, António Paulo Kassoma, and São Tomé e Príncipe, Joaquim Rafael

Branco.

The meeting was held in the ambit of the official visit of some hours carried out last Friday to Angola, by Joaquim Rafael Branco, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, aimed at assessing the current state of the co-operation between the two countries.

According to the document, the mentioned personalities agreed to hold a technical meeting in the first fortnight of March, this year, to prepare the next meeting of the Bilateral Commission.

The document states that the São Tomean Prime Minister is to return to Angola, after the holding of the technical meeting, and his Angolan counterpart is also to return the visit.

Meanwhile, Joaquim Rafael Branco was received in audience by the Angolan Head of State, to whom he gave information on the current political, economic and social situation in São Tomé e Príncipe.

On the occasion the Joaquim Rafael Branco transmitted to President José

Eduardo dos Santos a message from the São Tomean Head of State, Fradique de Meneses.
