relations between the two countries.
Under the Germany’s Federal Ministry of Economy
and Technology, the forum, has been designed as a bilateral platform
for economic exchange between the two countries.
The participants, figures from the two countries
politics and economics, will focus on energy and mining, infrastructures
and funding and security against risks.
The first Germany/Angola forum took place last
year in Frankfurt with the involvement of 200 participants.
The Frankfurt forum came in response to the visit
paid to Angola in December 2007 by the Germany minister of Economy
and Technology, Michael Glos.
The minister was then accompanied by two prominent
members of the Germany Parliament and 50 business people.
On the occasion, Michael Glos expressed his country’s
wish to invest mainly in the areas of energy, public works, hotels
and transports.
Angola is only second to South Africa in trade
with Germany in Africa.
