Angola: Anip chief reafirms openness to foreign investment  

Cape town  - The Co-ordinator of the Restructuring Commission of the National Agency of Private Investment (ANIP), Aguinaldo Jaime, on Tuesday here reaffirmed Angola openness to foreign investment in industry, public works and tourism sector.

Speaking at the forum of Gulf and Africa countries, that is taking place on the fringes of the meeting of experts of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC), Aguinaldo Jaime, said that Angola’s political and macroeconomics stability are essential factors to attract investments.

carried out over the recent years, mainly the approval of the laws of private investment, complemented with reciprocal protection accords, offer good conditions to external investment.

He also said that due to the political stability, reinforced with the 2008 legislative elections, the Angolan Government has been implementing a series of measures to fight poverty and improve peole living conditions.

Aguinaldo Jaime said that at the gathering he reminded participants on the last developments in Angola, with highlight to the political stability, confirmed during last September elections, in which Angolans showed great maturity.
