Luanda: Angola still preferential destination for international partners

Luanda – Angola continues to be a preferential destination to international partners, for being a country under reconstruction with many economic projects.

This was stated last Friday, in Luanda, by the country’s vice minister of Foreign Affairs,

George Chicoty.

The official said so to the press, at the Presidential Palace, after the accreditation ceremony of  the new ambassadors of Australia, Canada and Turkey, carried out by the Angolan Head of  State, José Eduardo dos Santos.

Talking about the new ambassadors, George Chicoty said that the social and economics politicise that the government has been implementing, coupled with the political stability and also economic growth, are the reasons for international partners to come to Angola.

“It shows that despite the financial crises affecting most of the countries, Angola keeps on being a preferential destination”, stressed the vice minister, adding that the international community believes a lot in the Angolan government and in what it has been doing.

He observed that Angola has gained political maturity and continues to show an image of  stability for the region, becoming a country with which others dialogue about several issues concerning the African continent and the world.

“In the last few days we could hear many preoccupations from the ambassadors, related not only with economy but also with the political and economic

international stability, as well as the reform on the Security Council of the United Nations, or stability in the African continent”, he said.

Through that, he concluded, we can understand that, truly, Angola is a country that is growing, and, above al, it is gaining credibility from its partners. Source: ANGOP
