Foreign Minister Received by Mozambican Premier 

A message from Angolan head of State, Jose Eduardo dos Santos, to his Mozambican counterpart, Armando Guebuza, was delivered in Maputo to local prime minister, Luisa Diogo, during an audience granted to Foreign minister, João Bernardo de Miranda.
After the audience, João Miranda, who started a two-day official visit to Mozambique, told journalists he discussed with the local prime minister the debt of that African Portuguese speaking country of the Indian Ocean to Angola.Regarding this, he transmitted Angolan Government`s decision

to pardon part of the debt and turn the other portion into resources for the purchase of buildings, shares and other assets.
He admitted the debt is not all that big, adding that the pardon conversion percentages will be studied by the Finance ministers of both countries, with a view to the earliest settlement of the matter.
Joao Miranda also informed the other party on Angola`s intention to promote soon a business forum in Mozambique, thus bringing together businesspeople from both countries.
The forum, he stated, will permit Mozambican themselves to bid their chances of investing in each State.
Joao Miranda visited the Mozambique Academy of Police Sciences, an institution set up seven years ago, currently taining Angolan staffs.
Meanwhile, the Mozambican minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Alcinda Abreu, hosted a dinner for João Miranda, whose visit to that country is closing Tuesday. Source: Angop
