Head of State Calls for Border Protection 

Angolan Head of State, José Eduardo dos Santos urged the population last Friday, in northern Cabinda province, to increase efforts so as to guarantee a greater control along the border.

State whilst speaking to over 20,000 people at Tafe Stadium, in the light of his visit to the region.
He expressed satisfaction with the spirit of friendliness, solidarity and brotherhood of Angolans, but warned against bad habits and behaviours that can be brought by these inconvenient persons.
"He who does not obey our laws, who does not follow the good rules of sociability should be dealt with by our authorities, justice and the population should collaborate in this, they should assist the authorities in showing them those people who do not fit in our society, those who not come to contribute for development, for reconstruction, but only to disturb", he stated.
Afterwards, José Eduardo dos Santos praised and encouraged the “great” effort that the forces of defence and security have been inserting to maintain tranquillity and stability nationwide, mainly in Cabinda province, having recommended the increase of attention to guarantee better vigilance along the border.
"A close vigilance is needed for people to circulate in recognised or legal borders that obey immigration regulations. Anyone who does not abide by immigration rules should be under police custody, and the police know what the procedures are", continued President Dos Santos to later remind that, those who are illegally should return where they came from.
In Cabinda, the Head of State inaugurated socioeconomic undertakings, with highlight to the local airport, now rehabilitated, and the multi-purpose pavilion that will host one of the phases of the African Men’s Basketball Championship (Afrobasket2007), the Health Centre of "Povo Grande" ward and "Dangereux" primary school, in 1º de Maio locality.
